English Language Challenges

 Hi everyone!

First I'd like to thank the professor for his efforts to make the classes interesting. And secondly, I want to apologize for my poor participation in the class, it is very difficult to me to concentrate because I have to take care of my two sons. I wish things had been different, so maybe I have learned much more.

Moreover, I still feeling ashamed of speaking English in public, I feel blocked and it's very hard to me to speak fluently :'( I think it's because I have been a very long time without practicing. I notice I have forgotten a lot of words and verbs conjugations, so when I have to speak I feel terrified, especially if my children are crying or yelling at me. While I'm writing this blog I had to consult many times in the dictionary. The truth is I would like to have more time to practice, but being in calm and not concerned about my children.

I leave you this drawing of Bjenny Montero.

The Best Concert Ever

Hi! Today I will talk about the only concert I have gone. I don't remember the exact day, but I think it was around the last months of 2017. The artist was Jean-Michel Jarre, a composer and performer of electronic, new age and trance music. If you don't know about him I recommend you to listen to his music, it's definitely very special and makes me think I'm traveling across the universe.  The truth is that at first I didn't know anything about Jarre's music, but my husband introduce me to his world and my reaction was: 👁👄👁. So when he invited me to the concert, I decided to deal with my agoraphobia and join him.  Already in the concert, the people were a little quiet and still, but I remember seeing an old man dancing with a lot of energy, while the young people were mostly seated. However, I enjoyed it despite of the extremely loud music, that maybe in another situation would have been very disturbing for me (complex post traumatic stress disorder xd).  Her...

A country I would like to visit

Hi everyone!  The truth is that in this moment of my life, it's hard for me to think in one country I would like to visit. However, I will try my best.  Since I was a little girl, I dreamed with visiting a lot of countries, especially those that have monuments of architecture of the ancient age and medieval times. Because of that, I would like to visit Italy.  If I could go to Italy, I'd like to visit places such as the Roman Coliseum, the Castel dell'Ovo or the Milan Cathedral. Regarding to the country's culture, I don't have much information. I have heard that some Italians are a little racist, especially with Latin American people, but maybe it's just a prejudice from the people who told me that. Nevertheless, what's important for me it's to learn more about humanity's past, and trying to imagine how was the life at that moment, the clothing, the way that they expressed themselves, etc.  I wouldn't like to live or study in Italy, mostly becaus...

TV Series

I just started watching Peaky Blinders after finishing The Sopranos. To watch series I mostly use Amazon Prime or Netflix, but there are many shows that aren't available on those websites, so sometimes I download them.  I have watched Better Call Saul two times. The show is about a very particular lawyer and it's a prequel from the show Breaking Bad. It shows his life before Breaking Bad and why he became the person he is in both shows. I think there are many details in it that go by unnoticed the first time you watch. If I could recommend a show, it would probably be Atlanta or The Wire, they are quite different from each other but I think both of them are unique to their genre. The first one is set in the city of Atlanta, US and it shows the life of an independent music producer and his cousin who’s trying to succeed as a rapper. The latter is about the racial problems faced by the african american community living in Baltimore, but I think there is much more to that show.  ...
