Changes to my study program

Hi everyone! Regarding my study program, I have always thought that contents related to neurosciences in psychology program are quite poor. In fact, we have two required courses, under the name of “Neurophysiology” and “Cognitive Neuroscience”. Even it represent a good opportunity to get introduced to this subject, later is difficult to find courses where you can go deeper, and they also don’t have a specific order to make sense of the learning.

Moreover, I think that a good idea would be to reinforce the oral and written skills of the students, because in my experience, making oral presentations or writing essays it’s not enough to learn. Maybe the different faculties could design specific courses for this purpose in order to help disadvantaged students.

On the other hand, from my own experience, I believe that it is necessary to create better conditions to the students who are parents and their children, because it is the reality for many students and it make things harder. And not only for them, but for everyone who are in a difficult situation, because I believe this is what justice means.

The Best Concert Ever

Hi! Today I will talk about the only concert I have gone. I don't remember the exact day, but I think it was around the last months of 2017. The artist was Jean-Michel Jarre, a composer and performer of electronic, new age and trance music. If you don't know about him I recommend you to listen to his music, it's definitely very special and makes me think I'm traveling across the universe.  The truth is that at first I didn't know anything about Jarre's music, but my husband introduce me to his world and my reaction was: 👁👄👁. So when he invited me to the concert, I decided to deal with my agoraphobia and join him.  Already in the concert, the people were a little quiet and still, but I remember seeing an old man dancing with a lot of energy, while the young people were mostly seated. However, I enjoyed it despite of the extremely loud music, that maybe in another situation would have been very disturbing for me (complex post traumatic stress disorder xd).  Her...

A country I would like to visit

Hi everyone!  The truth is that in this moment of my life, it's hard for me to think in one country I would like to visit. However, I will try my best.  Since I was a little girl, I dreamed with visiting a lot of countries, especially those that have monuments of architecture of the ancient age and medieval times. Because of that, I would like to visit Italy.  If I could go to Italy, I'd like to visit places such as the Roman Coliseum, the Castel dell'Ovo or the Milan Cathedral. Regarding to the country's culture, I don't have much information. I have heard that some Italians are a little racist, especially with Latin American people, but maybe it's just a prejudice from the people who told me that. Nevertheless, what's important for me it's to learn more about humanity's past, and trying to imagine how was the life at that moment, the clothing, the way that they expressed themselves, etc.  I wouldn't like to live or study in Italy, mostly becaus...

TV Series

I just started watching Peaky Blinders after finishing The Sopranos. To watch series I mostly use Amazon Prime or Netflix, but there are many shows that aren't available on those websites, so sometimes I download them.  I have watched Better Call Saul two times. The show is about a very particular lawyer and it's a prequel from the show Breaking Bad. It shows his life before Breaking Bad and why he became the person he is in both shows. I think there are many details in it that go by unnoticed the first time you watch. If I could recommend a show, it would probably be Atlanta or The Wire, they are quite different from each other but I think both of them are unique to their genre. The first one is set in the city of Atlanta, US and it shows the life of an independent music producer and his cousin who’s trying to succeed as a rapper. The latter is about the racial problems faced by the african american community living in Baltimore, but I think there is much more to that show.  ...
